Robots and Artificial Intelligence –  The term ‘robot’ originates from a Czech word meaning ‘forced labor,’ introduced by writer Karel Capek in 1921. While The New York Times previously highlighted this, the current discussion takes on a more serious and anxious tone, echoing concerns raised by influential figures like Elon Musk and Sir Steven. Hollywood has often portrayed robots as potential threats, and what was once enjoyed as science fiction now invites a more contemplative examination of the role of robots and AI in our lives. It is unlikely that robots or AI with advanced capabilities will replace our jobs in the next 10 years or beyond. For it to meet the requirements, it must successfully undergo four fundamental examinations.

Robots and Artificial Intelligence

Since the early days, regardless of origin, race, culture, or language, we have been asked the same question by society: “What do you do“. In the old days, if the answer was “I do artificial intelligence” then the immediate reaction was “Why don’t you have a natural one“. Today, if the answer is the same, then an immediate reaction is “Please don’t hurt me or us”. This is called change. This is called mindset transformation.

AI will help and do good for humanity. This kind of revolution tells us where we are headed. If you’re waiting for AI, look around you—you will find some form of artificial intelligence at work almost everywhere. Though its pinnacle will take around 10 or more years, machine consciousness is indomitable and will happen sooner or later.

FinTechAI

Robot failure can occur for the basic and widely known reason that their machine learning models may not be precise enough or require extensive data and training to be precise. Robots excel in tasks that pose a substantial threat to humans, have low economic value, are menial in nature, and are significant in humanitarian endeavors with high risk involved.

Will Robots Going To Take Our Jobs?

The question of whether robots or AI-powered machines that possess the capacity to ambulate and communicate will displace us from our professions is still unclear and is unlikely to occur for at least the next 50 years. From my viewpoint, robots need to successfully undergo four fundamental assessments to exhibit a certain degree of assurance and development.

  1. Turing test
  2. Acquire a college degree to be fully qualified
  3. Work as an employee for at least 20 years and perform well.
  4. Get promotions and attain ASI status.

According to the Robot Institute of America, a robot can be defined as a versatile programmable device that employs a range of manipulations, including but not limited to tangible item handling, tool operation, specialized device movement, etc. Choreographed by a series of programmed maneuvers designed to execute a diverse set of tasks.

It is a commonly recognized fact that human emotions serve as a mechanism to aid individuals in avoiding recurring blunders and gaining valuable insights from previous errors or misjudgments. Adverse emotions. Recognizing emotions would enable robots to be more attuned to users’ requirements while displaying emotions can enhance robot-human interaction.

Interestingly, robotics with AI have very peculiar behavior that is dependent on the owner’s behavior, i.e., who made it (ya, it looks like the Godfather concept). In this analogy, the programmer is the learning machine’s parent, i.e., like father, like son.” This may be true. Robots are no longer restricted to a structured environment and, interestingly, can learn like humans and work well side by side with them in a much faster and more efficient manner.

Artificial intelligence is a technology that is rapidly going from being unfulfilling to potentially dangerous without significant benefits in between. The various terms used to describe the lemmatization of artificial intelligence are numerous. There are various categories of AI, ranging from specific and robust to broad and all-encompassing, including subsets such as machine intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. Additionally, there is a consideration for the development of machine consciousness.

Is Artificial Intelligence Stop-able?

Can we really stop this storm of artificial intelligence? The answer is definitely no, as innovations have no stop button. Can we regulate it? The answer is yes, for sure. Regulation can define boundaries and limit the usage level of AI in each domain of today’s work.

A word of caution: the regulatory framework should not be taken as benefiting or producing a machine for some or a few people or as killing it. When AI is used most effectively, you won’t even know it’s being used. It will be running in the background, as mentioned previously. Still confused? Then check your pocket for your smartphone. We all have very soothing female-voiced virtual personal assistants on our phones, i.e., Siri, Cortana, etc. Be careful and don’t fall in love, as this is a voice-processing algorithm only. All this happens based on natural language processing (NLP), which is known as a procedure or software built into systems or devices that can understand and process language.

NLP comes under artificial intelligence. The well-known joke in robotics is that “robots are good for the 3 D’s: jobs that are dirty, dull, or dangerous”.

Robots Task Orientations

In my view, robots have never been limited to performing just one task and are now expanding their presence beyond traditional workspaces such as factories and workshops. These autonomous systems are adept at functioning with minimal human intervention, as seen in their smooth navigation through hospitals for delivering medications, aiding in surgeries, and distributing towels and minibar items in hotels.

Business Technology

Engaged in the entertainment business to engage in intimate relations with a person. Thanks to sensors and advanced technology, the latest generation of robots is now safer and easier to coexist with. Soon a cloud-based virtual assistant will take over control of our emails, SMS, contacts, and social media by talking to us in a warm and husky voice and proving to you that she knows you better than your brother, mother, friend, or even your very own wife (soon to be ex if you don’t control yourself).

Soon, suggestions and directions will come through for what to do next, and humans will become robots. One hour of such downtime will bring our lives to a standstill. Don’t worry; your infatuation eventually cools off after you realize she is carrying on equally intimate conversations with thousands of other customers. Learning in robots is the same as in humans, i.e., trial and error. Helping customers on the internet has been in use for decades anyway, but growing old, mature, and smart as humans do

Robotics & Robot Behaviour

A behavior-based approach to action selection in cooperative robotics ranging from reflexive to super-smart agents incorporates models of motivations to enable robots to cooperate without explicitly negotiating or being instructed. Using robots for environmental remediation and restoration of irradiated and polluted sites

  • Manufacturing and AI are converging, ushering in a phase of “mass customization” where companies excelling in economically producing short runs of special-order goods are thriving.
  • Consider the scenario of a self-driving car seamlessly navigating between work, appointments, and parking for free, showcasing the transformative potential of AI in daily life.
  • The focus now lies on industrial manipulators, or industrial robots, to be rapidly reprogrammed and more forgiving in adapting to variations, emphasizing the migration of AI techniques to enhance their capabilities.

My question is: are we not learning about our own intelligence or handing over our capabilities to machines? As per Professor Andrew, machine learning is a revolution in the history of mankind. The first one was when machines came and took our basic jobs to make us faster and our lives easier. To me, this second one is coming to make us lazy and heavily dependent. The technique that made easy work possible is no longer AI but something mundane.

Different users need different tools (Customer Perspective)

There is a need for an automated security assistant that learns the needs of the individual user and helps them apply security tools. As an individual, my automation needs are data confidentiality, data-loss tolerance limits, recovery costs, and privacy. On the back end, a machine needs to learn my usage patterns, technical knowledge, and security choices.

  • Crucial Bonds: In the heart of sectors like healthcare, finance, and self-driving wonders, AI-driven robots become more than machines; they become crucial companions in our daily journey.
  • Yearning for Transparency: Their roles are pivotal, and to truly understand them is to open a window to our yearning for trust and fairness in their every action.
  • Whispers of Understanding: The decision-making whispers of AI algorithms, especially those breathing life into robots with artificial intelligence, aren’t just code; they’re the breaths of understanding and trust.
  • Dances of Progress: In the dance of progress, where technology twirls in computing and robotics, it transforms not just industries but our very homes.
  • Magic of Innovation: This magical journey doesn’t just amplify efficiency; it paints visions of teleportation and self-driving dreams, turning the ordinary into extraordinary tales of innovation, touching the strings of our lives.

History doesn’t lie anyway; robots were used in the military, and industry invested in robotics to build nuclear weapons and power plants. This is where things would go tribally wrong. Technology is evolving rapidly and making robotics and artificial intelligence more accessible through innovations in machines and quick business processes.

Conclusion – In the next few years, we can expect significant advancements in machine learning pertaining to cybersecurity, payment intelligence, and information security intelligence. Instead, the business tends to naturally be drawn towards the implicit performance of smaller tasks without vocalizing it. One prime instance in the field of AI is a crucial resource to enhance the satisfaction of customers. Facial recognition technology boasts an accuracy rate that surpasses that of humans by 10 to 15 times when it comes to identifying individuals. However, in the past, military and industrial organizations have misused robotics to develop nuclear weapons and power plants, potentially leading to disastrous consequences.
